Solar Power Has Never Been So Cool ☀️

The Cube is about to become the coolest spot in town - literally and figuratively. Starting September 3rd, they're installing solar panels in the parking lot.

These new panels are multitaskers - they'll juice up the place and shade your car. No more returning to a vehicle hot enough to fry an egg on the dashboard. Your ice cream might actually survive the trip home now.

Fair warning: parking's going to be a bit of a challenge for six weeks. Think of it as a warm-up for your skating session. By the time you reach the entrance, you'll be ready for the Olympics. Silver lining? You can now brag about your eco-friendly figure eights to all your friends. "Oh, these lutzes? Powered by solar, darling."

Serving an Ace for Mental Health 🎾

Ethan Park, a West Ranch High senior, is proving that you can be an ace both on and off the court. He (with the help of his friends) is hosting the second annual "Game. Set. Hope." charity tennis tournament on September 7th. It's like Wimbledon, but with more heart and less overpriced strawberries.

For just $25, you can channel your inner Serena Williams or Roger Federer, all while supporting mental health awareness. Don't worry if your serve is more "oops" than ace – all skill levels are welcome on this court. There's even a guest speaker who'll drop some wisdom between sets. 👀

The funds raised will go to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. So not only will you get some exercise, but you'll also be flexing your compassion muscles. Game, set, match, and a better community for all!

A Broadway-Worthy Upgrade 🎭

Valencia High's auditorium is getting the star treatment after 30 years in the spotlight. Think of it as an extreme makeover, theater edition.

New seats? Check. State-of-the-art lighting? You bet. A projector that actually works? Now that's what we call movie magic. The dressing rooms are even joining the party, transforming from "meh" to "marvelous."

Theater guru Stephen Whelan is practically dancing in the aisles. While construction crews do their thing, his students are channeling their inner Off-Broadway, rehearsing in a classroom next door. It's cozy, it's intimate, it's... well, it's temporary.

Come January, Valencia's thespians will strut their stuff on a stage worthy of their talents. Until then, they're brushing up their Shakespeare at Canyon High. Talk about taking the show on the road!
