That's right, folks - it's my son's 1st birthday weekend, and the house is full of family, joy, and the distinct possibility that I might step on a LEGO at any moment.

But amidst all this festive mayhem, I wanted to take a moment to do something a little different. Today, we're not here to dish out the latest SCV updates or debate the merits of various local coffee shops (though I maintain that a good latte should be considered a basic human right).

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU

Every morning, as I sit down with my coffee (or let's be honest, sometimes it's straight espresso), I'm filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Why? Because I know that on the other end of this newsletter are thousands of you fantastic humans, ready to start your day with a little slice of SCV life.

You've been with us from the start, tolerating my attempts to turn local traffic reports into Shakespearean soliloquies and my deep dives into the philosophical implications of choosing between In-N-Out and The Habit. (Spoiler: The answer always involves animal-style fries.)
