The 29th Annual River Rally Cleanup hits the Santa Clara River on September 21st, 8-11 a.m.

It's like a scavenger hunt, but instead of finding treasure, you're finding... well, let's just say "pre-owned items." Your reward? A cleaner river, free breakfast, and the satisfaction of knowing you've made at least one fish's day better.

Saddle Up for an Evening at The Porch 🤠

The Porch is throwing a wild west-themed shindig tonight from 6 to 9 p.m.

On the schedule:

• The Voice's own Kyle Schuesler serenading your inner desperado

• DIY rhinestone cowboy hat station (because even outlaws need to sparkle)

• Grub so good, it should be illegal, courtesy of Wise BBQ, Hilario's Tacos, and Encanto Ice Cream Bars

You can even try your hand at lassoing a wooden horse (because real ones have lawyers these days.)

Hollywood's Unsung Heroes (Now Slightly More Sung 💰)

L.A. County has decided to play benefactor to 363 small businesses in the entertainment industry. They're doling out a cool $4 million through the Entertainment Business Interruption Fund Grant program. It's like "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" but for the people who make sure the millionaires look good on camera.

These aren't your typical Hollywood bigwigs – we're talking prop houses, printers, food caterers, and other behind-the-scenes magicians. You know, the folks who ensure that the 1950s diner in your favorite period piece doesn't accidentally have a flat-screen TV in the background.

The grants, ranging from $10k to $25k, are like a blockbuster opening weekend for these small businesses still reeling from the pandemic and recent strikes. It's the County's way of saying, "The show must go on... and we've got your back."

Autumn is sneaking into SCV, one delicious sip at a time! This weekend, our local coffee shops are rolling out the red carpet for Fall, and our taste buds couldn't be more ready.

Havana Savannah is kicking off the season with a gourd-geous deal: 25% off all pumpkin drinks today through Sunday. It's the perfect excuse to dust off that favorite sweater and pretend there's a chill in the air!

⚾ Santa Clarita's own Scott Barlow has signed a one-year deal with the Cleveland Guardians. The Golden Valley High School alum has come a long way from setting school strikeout records to becoming an MLB relief pitcher. With a career ERA of 3.42 and 458 strikeouts, Barlow's proving that SCV can pitch with the best of 'em. Go get 'em, Scott!
