🌮🚚 Food truck season is in full swing—and Santa Clarita is serving it up hot! Whether you're in the mood for tacos, Thai noodles, BBQ, or gourmet grilled cheese, SCV’s got you covered with a growing lineup of food truck-friendly events all summer long.
Kick things off at Food Truck Saturdays on Carl Boyer Dr. in Saugus (5–8 p.m.), where a rotating cast of trucks dishes out crowd favorites and creative eats every weekend. It’s casual, walk-up friendly, and great for families, friend groups, and snack-hunters alike.
Then head over to Concerts in the Park at Central Park on Saturday nights. Food trucks start slinging at 5 p.m., with live music starting at 7. It’s the ultimate Santa Clarita summer tradition: lawn chairs, coolers, and your pick of eats from pizza to poke to plant-based burgers.
And don’t miss SENSES in Old Town Newhall—a street party series that transforms Main Street every third Thursday (next dates: July 17, Aug. 21, Sept. 18, Oct. 16). You’ll find themed entertainment, drinks, live music, and yes—food trucks parked and ready to fuel the fun.
Whether you're a regular or trying something new, Santa Clarita’s food truck scene is bursting with local flavor and summer energy. No need to drive to LA—your next great bite is probably right around the corner. (The Signal)
Education
🏆 CalArts wins big for website redesign! The California Institute of the Arts has earned a 2025 Circle of Excellence Gold Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for its newly launched website, calarts.edu. Out of 4,460 global entries, CalArts stood out for its fresh design, user experience, and creative authenticity.
Crafted by an all-CalArts alum team at Handbuilt Studio, with development support from NewCity, the site was a year in the making and launched in October 2024. Judges praised it as “fresh, joyful and youthful” with just the right amount of “pixie dust”—a perfect fit for an institution devoted to innovation in the arts. (SCV News)
