Folks, Vasquez Rocks just hosted a shindig that would make even John Wayne tip his hat. The "Fireside Night: A Celebration of Western Music" event was a hit, proving that our cowboy spirit is alive and kicking.

Sarah Brewer, the park's superintendent (and self-proclaimed Vasquez Rocks enthusiast since her juice box days), was grinning from ear to ear. With s'mores, lasso lessons, and live music, this event had it all. Oh, and did we mention it was free? That's right, free entertainment that didn’t involve watching paint dry.

These Fireside Nights happen monthly until October. So if you missed this one, don't sweat it. You've got more chances to unleash your inner cowpoke. Just leave your spurs at home, partner.

From Fairway to Fabulous 🏌️‍♂️

Valencia Country Club just clinched "Renovation of the Year" from Golf Inc. magazine. It's a big deal in the world of manicured lawns and tiny pencils.

After a seven-month makeover, the course is now water-efficient, strategically challenging, and more accessible for all skill levels. So now when you miss that easy putt, you can blame it on the "enhanced course complexity."

🐾 Bark For Life: Canines Against Cancer

The American Cancer Society’s SCV Bark For Life is back, and this year’s event promises to be the biggest yet. Scheduled for Sunday, October 20th, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Canyon Country Community Center, this annual gathering is expected to draw even more vendors, teams, and sponsors, making it a must-attend event for dog lovers and community members alike.

For $15, participants can register their first dog to join the festivities, with additional dogs at $10 each. Early registration is encouraged to secure one of the coveted goody bags.
