SPONSORED BY WANTED GRILL
OK guys… we've got your dinner plans tonight 🍔
We kept hearing buzz about this place called Wanted Grill, so naturally, we had to investigate. Spoiler alert: We were absolutely floored.
Here's what stood out to us:
🔥 Every bite of their burgers was a smoky, juicy revelation. The charbroil grill isn't just hype – it's a game-changer.
🌱 They have a serious vegan menu. We were skeptical, but these plant-based options are crave-worthy for everyone, and they're prepared on separate grills with dedicated equipment. It's that extra care that sets Wanted Grill apart.
👨🍳 From the moment we walked in, the Wanted team treated us like old friends. Their passion for the food was infectious, and their recommendations were spot-on.
But don't just take our word for it. We want you to experience this SCV gem for yourself!
Here's an exclusive deal for you—our amazing readers:

THE DIGEST
David March Park Gets an Upgrade 🏞️
Santa Clarita's about to flip the script on urban green spaces. David March Park is getting an expansion that would make any urban planner swoon. We're talking eight new acres, which in LA terms, is practically a small country.
The pièce de résistance? A new exercise staircase. Because nothing says "I love my community" like voluntarily subjecting yourself to leg day in public. It's the city's second such staircase, proving that Santa Clarita is committed to elevating both your view and your heart rate.
With new amenities including a baseball field, basketball court, and exercise equipment, this park is shaping up to be the Swiss Army knife of outdoor spaces – multipurpose, sleek, and likely to make you feel inadequate about your own backyard.
Mark your calendars for September 26th. There's a groundbreaking ceremony that promises to be more exciting than watching paint dry (which, coincidentally, is exactly what we'll be doing on some of the new structures). The project's slated for completion in 2026, giving you ample time to perfect your picnic game.
Where Determination Gets… Muddy 💪
SCV ladies! The Mudgirl Run is coming to SCV on September 21st & 22nd, and it's anything but your average athletic event. This 3-mile course, complete with 17 obstacles, promises to test your mettle and, I’ll bet, leave you with a newfound appreciation for showers.
Picture this: a terrain that'll make your Apple Watch wonder if you've discovered a new extreme sport. It promises to be challenging with an extra dose of camaraderie and fun. The best part? It's designed to be achievable by all, regardless of your fitness level or obstacle course experience.
This isn't just a run; it's a movement about unity and empowerment. The #PinkArmy welcomes everyone who's up for the challenge. So rally your crew – friends, coworkers, or that neighbor you've been meaning to get to know. There's nothing quite like conquering mud pits together to forge new friendships.
A heads up for the eager beavers: September 21st is already sold out so if you're itching to join the mud-venture, don't wait to secure your spot for the 22nd!

Microscopic Warfare 🦠
In a story straight out of a sci-fi novel, CSUN microbiologist Cristian Ruiz Rueda is taking on the invisible villains of our world – antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Armed with a $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation, Ruiz Rueda is delving into the secret lives of these microscopic troublemakers.
His focus is on a protein called AcrR, a key player in bacterial defense. Think of it as the gatekeeper deciding which antibiotics get to do their job and which get the boot.
But this isn't just about keeping humans healthy (though that's certainly a noble cause). Ruiz Rueda is turning his research into a learning opportunity for CSUN students, giving them hands-on experience in cutting-edge microbiology.
The ultimate goal? To understand how bacteria operate so we can outsmart them. It's a high-stakes game of cellular chess, and Ruiz Rueda is aiming for checkmate proving that not all heroes wear capes—some wear lab coats.
