Launching Careers and Celebrating Success 🏈

It's a banner year for COC football as 18 players take their talents to four-year programs. This mass advancement is a testament to the program's ability to nurture and develop top-tier talent.

Stars like quarterback Emery Floyd (headed to University of New Mexico) and defensive lineman Victory Vaka (bound for Northern Arizona University) are just the tip of the talent iceberg. With 13 SCFA Scholar-Athletes in the mix, it's clear COC is scoring touchdowns in academics too.

As the Cougars gear up for their 2024 season opener on September 7th, they're not just showcasing a newly renovated turf field - they're showcasing a program that consistently launches players to the next level. Now that's something to cheer about!

Exciting news, Saugus residents! Your daily commute is about to get a whole lot smoother. The Road Rehab Overlay Program kicks off on today, bringing much-needed TLC to our beloved streets.

From Heidi Jo Lane to Rose Lee Court, a host of residential streets are getting the star treatment. It's like a spa day for roads, and your car's suspension will be sending thank-you notes.

Yes, there might be some temporary inconveniences, but just think of the silky-smooth rides in your future.

🧼 Trading Grease for Suds

The Chevron at Bouquet Canyon and Urbandale Avenue is eyeing a bubbly makeover. Owner Mike Rabadi is ready to swap oil changes for rinse cycles, joining Bouquet Canyon's car wash club.

Why the pivot? Rabadi's not one to let grass grow under his feet (or oil stains on his lot). With electric cars on the rise and dealerships monopolizing maintenance, he's making a splash in a new direction.

But don't write this off as just another copycat car wash. Rabadi's 1,320-square-foot proposal is strategically placed farther north, giving our upper-SCV friends a chance to shine without a cross-town trek.

While still in the "one-stop review" phase (city-speak for "let's see if this idea holds water"), it's clear that in SCV, the car wash business is far from washed up. Stay tuned, Saugus - your rides might soon be getting the VIP treatment!
