What will SCV look like in the 22nd century?

Generation Beta has arrived â babies born in 2025 are the first generation likely to live to see the 22nd century. Wild, right? So now weâre wondering: What will Santa Clarita look like in 2101?
Will Main Street in Newhall have hoverboard lanes (with a hover-parking problem to match)? Could Magic Mountain feature virtual reality coasters you can ride from your couch? Maybe the Santa Clara River will finally get some water â and become the centerpiece of a thriving eco-city.
We want your best, funniest, and most ridiculous predictions! Share your vision for SCV in 2101, and weâll feature our favorites in the newsletter and on Instagram. Go ahead, let your imagination run wild â weâre ready for flying Teslas and AI-powered taco trucks. đ
Psst, need some inspiration? Here are a few from our staff đ:
"Every home in SCV now comes with a built-in, voice-activated HOA representative to remind you that your grass is too long."
"Taco Bell Drive-Thru now uses drones, but youâll still hear 'Sorry, weâre out of Baja Blast' as they fly away."

Our Staffâs Weekend Picks
Watch
âImagine The Godfather had a baby with Peaky Blinders, and that baby grew up watching John Wick. Thatâs Gangs of London. When Londonâs top crime boss is murdered, his son takes over, facing ruthless rival gangs like the Albanian Mafia and a Kurdish militia. Plus, thereâs an undercover cop in the mix, so itâs all chaos, violence, and edge-of-your-seat drama. Warning: once you start, youâll want to binge the whole thing.â

Eat
âLast weekend, I was in New York, and let me tell you, I had a spiritual awakening... in the form of a breakfast sandwich. It was cheesy, flavorful, and pure perfection. Now, back on the West Coast, Iâm on a mission to recreate it at home (because flying to New York every weekend isnât in the budget). All you need is a roll, some bacon, a perfectly cooked egg, and enough cheese to make your arteries nervous. Make one this weekend, and thank me when youâre in breakfast heaven.â

Read
đ Trust by Hernan Diaz
âIf youâre craving a psychological thriller that keeps you guessing, Trust by Hernan Diaz is a must-read. This Pulitzer Prize-winning novel unfolds in four parts, beginning with a 1920s New York story about a financier and his wife, and each section offers a different perspective on the truth. Itâs a wild ride thatâll leave you questioning who to trust. Bonus: Kate Winslet is rumored to star in the TV adaptation, so read it now and brag later!â
